Newt Gingrich crushed his opponents in South Carolina tonight. Gingrich received 40% of the vote, compared to 27% for Mitt Romney. Rick Santorum finshed 3rd with 17%, and the phony Ron Paul finished where he will finish in Florida, dead last at 13%. gingrich was very complementary in his victory speech, praising all three of the other candidates.

According to Real Clear Politics, Newt Gingrich now has a small lead in South Carolina. The latest numbers show Gingrich with 32.5 percent, Romney with 31.5, Paul with 14.0, Santorum with 11.8, and Perry with 3.0. These numbers do not reflect the debate that took place last night, where Gingrich kicked CNN"S worthless ass at the beginning of the debate.

Rick Perry has dropped out of the GOp race for President. As I told you amateurs in here, he had no chance of winning in South Carolina, and thus, no chance of winnning the nomination. Perry endorsed Newt Gingrich. In South Carolina, Romney still leads, but Gingrich is making big gains. According to the latest RCP averages, as of yeaterday, Romney has 33% of the vote, Gingrich 26%, Paul 14%, and Santorum 13%. Some polls now have Gingrich ahead by 1 or 2%.

Jon Huntsman has seen the light and has dropped out of the GOP race for the 2012 Presidential Nomination. This will come as good news for Mitt Romney, who is beginning to lengthen his lead in South Carolina, and has a big lead in Flroida. Last night, the wife and I ware at our local club with a bunch of friends. One person in particular is a HUGE Green Bay Packers fan. He is from Wisconsin, and even owns stock in the team.
